Star Cutter Company celebrated Manufacturing Day, officially October 5th, over the past two weeks by hosting student visits at several of its Northern Michigan facilities including Ossineke Industries (Ossineke, MI), H.B. Carbide Company (Lewiston, MI), and Tawas Tool (East Tawas, MI). Here is a summary of how each group showcased their facilities and the manufacturing industry as a whole:
- October 4th Ossineke Industries: 30 Alpena High School Mechatronics program students toured the plant
- October 5th H.B. Carbide Company: 60 students from the Atlanta school system toured the facility taking an in depth look at the carbide blank and preform process

October 9th Tawas Tool: 60 local high schoolers visited our facility. They rotated through three different sessions; design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and plant tours of the manufacturing processes.
